Fair Trade & Cheap Roller Banners

Peridar is an organisation that introduces international wholesalers to Fair Trade producers in developing countries.

Fair Trade is an organised social movement and market based approach that is aimed at treating producers in developing countries with “Fair Trade” rates for their products and services. Many super markets now opt into Fair Trade agreements to ensure the products they resell have been acquired ethically. Coffee, tea, cocoa, sugar, tea, bananas, honey, cotton, wine, fresh fruit, chocolate and flowers are types of exports that can conform to Fair Trade embargo agreements throughout the world.

Fair Trade represents only a small fraction of world trade. It is estimated that over 7.5 million producers and their families are currently benefiting from the Fair Trade funded infrastructure. Fair Trade sales worth was estimated at $4.08 Billion in 2008.

There are mixed reactions to Fair Trade, one question remains unanswered: is Fair Trade ethical business? Producers work for a low cost and foreign suppliers resell their products at an inflated cost to maximise their business profit margin. This profit isn’t passed on to the producers.

The WFTO is recognised as the global authority on Fair Trade. WFTO is solely exclusive to organisations that demonstrate a 100% Fair Trade commitment. WFTO approved organisations must apply to its 10 Principles of Fair Trade.

Peridar would like to thank Ultimate Banners for the roller banners they supplied us for the NEC exhibition that we attended in June. The print quality was superb and the display stand cost was very competitive. We will be contacting them for more sales and marketing equipment shortly.
